Product Description

Swing Gate Turnstile Access Management System Multi Lane Campus Entrance 550mm Channel

Product Description

A turnstile on its own only stops people at one point; what site operators actually need is a passage management system that tells them who is inside, how many, and whether the building is still within its safe capacity. This swing gate turnstile works as the hardware layer of that system: it authenticates the holder, opens in 0.5 seconds, counts each passage in and out, and pushes the record to the management platform over TCP/IP or RS485. Entry and exit numbers are counted independently by the infrared sensor pairs, so the real-time occupancy of a campus building, exhibition hall or office tower is calculated continuously rather than estimated by staff at the door.

The system layer supports tiered permissions. VIP guests, members, staff and day visitors can each be assigned a different lane group or time window, so a multi-lane installation automatically routes people to the right channel instead of relying on signage. When occupancy reaches a preset threshold the platform raises an alarm and can switch selected lanes to exit-only, which gives security staff a clear action instead of a judgement call at the barrier.

All passage data stays usable after the event. Records carry credential ID, lane number, direction and timestamp, and export to attendance, visitor or space-utilisation reports, which is what makes the installation a management system rather than a set of gates. The 304 stainless steel frame, acrylic swing arms, 550mm to 1000mm channel and IP43 or IP54 rating let the same lane serve an indoor lobby or an open-air campus gate, with emergency release for evacuation and an audible and visual alarm for tailgating attempts.

Product Features and Advantages

1. One Platform Controls Every Lane

A multi-lane passage management system links all turnstiles on site to a single console. Lanes can be set to entry only, exit only or bidirectional, opened or locked remotely, and monitored for faults, so a ten-lane campus entrance is operated from one screen instead of ten local switches.

2. Independent Entry and Exit Counting

Four pairs of infrared sensors count incoming and outgoing passages separately. The platform subtracts the two to give real-time occupancy and remaining capacity, and triggers an alarm once the preset limit is reached, which turns capacity control into a measured figure instead of an estimate.

3. Tiered Permissions by Lane Group

Staff, members, VIP guests and day visitors can each be mapped to a lane group, time window or credential type. The lane clears 30 people per minute, or 40 in normally open mode, and the access management platform decides which channel each credential may use.

4. Passage Data That Feeds Reporting

The controller delivers relay switch, 12V level and 12V pulse signals plus RS485 or TCP/IP output, so every record of credential ID, direction and time flows into attendance, visitor or space-utilisation reports. No manual tally sheets, and no gap between the gate log and the management report.

5. Safe Behaviour in a Managed Lane

The swing arm opens in 0.5 seconds and is rated for at least 5 million passages. Tailgating triggers an audible and visual alarm and is logged against the lane, while emergency release opens the arms automatically on power failure or fire signal so the evacuation route stays clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does the swing gate turnstile ship with the management software?

The turnstile ships with its controller and communication interface. Lane control, permission groups and occupancy alarms run on an access management platform; we can supply our own, or the unit can be integrated with the platform your site already uses through RS485 or TCP/IP.

2. How many lanes can one system manage?

Each controller manages its own lane and reports upstream, so the number of lanes is limited by the platform rather than by the hardware. Installations with a single entrance lane and installations with eight or more lanes both run on the same architecture.

3. How is capacity calculated in real time?

The infrared sensor pairs count entries and exits separately. The platform subtracts exits from entries to give the current occupancy, compares it with the configured limit, and raises an alarm or restricts entry when the threshold is reached.

4. Can different visitor types use different lanes?

Yes. Lanes can be grouped and each credential type - RFID or IC card, QR code, NFC phone, face or fingerprint terminal - can be restricted to a group, a direction or a time window, which is how VIP, member and general visitor flows are separated.

5. What are the installation requirements?

The lane needs a level floor, AC220V supply and a network or RS485 connection to the management platform. Cabinet size is 1400mm x 180mm x 1060mm with a 550mm to 1000mm channel, and both dimension and channel width can be customised for the site layout.
