Anti-Static Turnstile with ESD Test Plate – Ensures Only Static-Compliant Staff Enter to Protect Precision Equipment
Target groups : Semiconductor manufacturing plants, chip assembly and testing facilities, precision instrument / optical equipment / aerospace electronics workshops.
Factory workshops handle large volumes of pedestrian traffic every day. However, traditional management methods often face the following problems :
1. Invisible but costly ESD damage :
Static electricity carried by employees can reach several thousand volts. When they come into contact with precision components, it can cause invisible damage, leading to lower product yields, functional failures, and customer claims.
2. Lack of mandatory testing mechanisms :
Many factories only put up a sign at the entrance saying "Please touch the static discharge ball". Employees who are in a hurry or simply forget walk straight in – the measure becomes ineffective.
3. No control over external personnel :
Visitors, maintenance staff, and temporary workers are often unaware of ESD requirements and enter the workshop directly, creating risks.
4. Separation of attendance and ESD testing :
Employees must first clock in, then perform an ESD test, and then enter the workshop. This cumbersome process leads to congestion at the entrance.
5. Untraceable accountability :
In the event of a customer complaint related to ESD, there is no way to verify who failed to comply with ESD protection measures on the day in question.
Kemaisi solution:
1. Mandatory ESD test for passage :
Employees must use the ESD test pad next to the turnstile. Only when their static reading is within the acceptable range will the turnstile open. Those who fail cannot enter – physically preventing non‑compliant personnel from entering the workshop.
2. Three-in-one: face recognition + ESD test + attendance :
The employee stands on the ESD test pad and faces the face recognition terminal. The system automatically identifies the user, checks the static reading, and simultaneously records the clock‑in time and overtime hours. One‑stop passage saves time and effort.
3. Automatic reminder for failed ESD test + integrated discharge solution :
If the test fails, the turnstile remains locked and a voice prompt says: "Static excessive – please use the static discharge ball". An ESD discharge ball can be placed next to the turnstile. After pressing the ball for 3–5 seconds, the employee takes the test again; if the result is now acceptable, passage is granted.
4. Visitor / external personnel management :
Visitors must register at the reception desk and receive a temporary ESD wristband or shoe covers. Alternatively, the system issues temporary face recognition permissions. They can only enter after passing the ESD test. All actions are logged and traceable.
5. Traceable data recording :
The system automatically records for each passage: employee ID, time, ESD test value, pass/fail result, and whether the static discharge ball was used. The quality department can retrieve reports at any time for customer complaint tracking and internal audits.
