Product Description

Wing Barrier Turnstile Fast Passage Brushless Motor Normally Open Continuous Flow 0.5s 550mm Lane

Product Introduction

This wing barrier turnstile is tuned for throughput rather than for a decorative lobby look. A brushless DC drive opens the acrylic wings in 0.5 seconds, and in normally open mode the lane keeps the wings retracted between authorised users so a queue moves as a continuous stream instead of stop and start. One lane passes 30 people per minute in normal mode and up to 40 people per minute in flow mode.

The controller verifies the next credential while the previous person is still inside the lane. A new valid read triggers an immediate re open instead of waiting for the wings to close and re cycle, which removes the half second gap that limits most swing barriers at shift change and at event entrances. A sensor array across the lane confirms the person has cleared the wings before the closing cycle starts, so speed does not come at the cost of clipping the person behind.

The brushless motor has no carbon brushes to wear and is rated for more than 10 million operating cycles, with lower heat build up and quieter running than a brushed drive in continuous peak hour use. Drive parameters, opening angle and hold time are set from the controller keypad or the management software, so the same lane can run a fast commuter profile in the morning and a stricter single passage profile for visitor hours.

Product Advantages

  • 0.5 second opening with flow mode - The brushless drive opens the wings in 0.5 seconds, and normally open mode keeps them retracted between authorised users so the lane passes 40 people per minute without a stop and start rhythm.
  • Verify next person while lane is occupied - A new valid credential is processed while the previous person is still walking through, and the wings re open immediately instead of completing a full close and re cycle, removing the gap that slows most swing barriers.
  • Sensor array confirms lane clearance - Infrared pairs across the lane confirm that the person has fully cleared the wings before the closing cycle begins, so higher speed does not result in the arms clipping the following user.
  • Brushless motor rated for 10 million cycles - The brushless DC drive has no carbon brushes to replace, runs cooler and quieter than a brushed motor, and is rated for more than 10 million operating cycles in continuous peak hour operation.
  • Two profiles on one lane - Opening angle, hold time and passage mode are set from the controller keypad or management software, so a fast commuter profile can run in the morning and a stricter single passage profile during visitor hours.
  • Parallel credential verification - QR code, IC and ID card, NFC, fingerprint and face terminals are all verified on the same controller, so a mixed population of staff, members and visitors is not split across separate lanes.
  • Anti tailgating without slowing the queue - The sensor array distinguishes a following person from the authorised user in front, keeping tailgating detection active even in flow mode where the wings stay open between users.
  • Emergency release and status feedback - The wings unlock on power failure and the emergency stop button releases every lane at once, while the LED indicator and voice prompt give immediate feedback so nobody has to stop and ask why the gate did not open.

FAQ

Q1: How many people can pass one lane per minute?

One lane handles 30 people per minute in normal mode and up to 40 people per minute in normally open flow mode, with an opening time of 0.5 seconds.

Q2: What is normally open flow mode?

In flow mode the wings stay retracted between authorised users instead of closing after every person. Each new valid credential re opens the lane instantly, so a queue moves as a continuous stream during shift change or event entry.

Q3: Does the lane still stop tailgating in flow mode?

Yes. The infrared sensor array distinguishes the authorised user from a following person and closes the wings when a second person tries to pass on one credential.

Q4: Why use a brushless motor?

A brushless drive has no carbon brushes to wear out, generates less heat and noise, and is rated for more than 10 million operating cycles, which matters on a lane that runs continuously through peak hours.

Q5: Can a person be hit by the closing wings?

The sensor array confirms that the lane is clear before the closing cycle starts, and the anti crush mechanism stops the arms on contact, so passage speed does not compromise safety.

Q6: Can the passage profile be changed during the day?

Yes. Opening angle, hold time and passage mode are set from the controller keypad or the management software, so a fast profile for commuter peaks and a stricter profile for visitor hours can run on the same lane.

Q7: What happens during a power failure?

The wings unlock automatically, and the emergency stop button releases every lane at once, so the entrance never blocks evacuation.
